AI implementation · Custom software · Managed operations

AI in your business, built the way regulated environments require it.

Secure, auditable and owned by you. Two senior engineers, led by an architect with fifteen years of infrastructure and security practice, help manufacturers, financial institutions, professional firms and public agencies put AI and custom software to work, with a payback number attached.

Great Lakes Bay Region, Michigan. Remote engagements welcome.

What goes wrong

Most AI projects stall for three reasons. None of them is the model.

Nobody measured the baseline.

If the current process was never timed or counted, the project cannot prove it helped. We measure for a week before we estimate anything.

Data went where it should not.

Customer records, PHI and contracts pasted into a chatbot is the most common failure in the field. We decide what leaves your environment before a line of code is written.

The people whose work changed were told last.

Adoption fails more often than technology does. In a typical engagement a fifth to a third of the effort is training and process redesign, and we say so up front.

We design against all three from the first conversation. That is the whole difference between an AI consultant with a slide deck and an engineering firm that has to live with what it ships.

How we work

Assess. Build. Run.

Three engagements that feed each other. Every client starts with the first one.

2. Implementation sprints

40- or 80-hour blocks, or fixed price per sprint

Document search and question-answering over your own files. Extraction from invoices, orders and forms. LLM integration with your ERP, CRM or ticketing system. Workflow automation. All deployed in your cloud account with identity, logging and data controls you can show an auditor.

3. Managed AI operations

From $2,500 per month

Monitoring, model and prompt updates as providers change, cost optimization, and a set number of support hours each month. What we build keeps working after launch, and someone answers when it does not.

The assessment

Two to three weeks. One document your CFO will actually read.

Every engagement starts the same way: with the assessment. It is fixed price, it is short, and it answers the question nobody in your company has had time to answer.

What you get

  • An inventory of the systems and data you already have, and how to get data out of each one.
  • Three to five automation opportunities, each scored on labor hours reclaimed, cycle time, error reduction and revenue capacity.
  • A conservative, expected and upside case for each, built on fully loaded labor cost, not salary.
  • The security, privacy and governance gaps that would block each opportunity, and what closes them.
  • A roadmap with total cost, including model usage, cloud and your own staff time, and a payback period.

What you provide

  • A sponsor who can make a decision at the end.
  • Three to five people for one-hour interviews.
  • Read access or exports from the systems in scope.
  • One week of counting: how many documents, how many hours, how many errors. We give you the sheet.
The math we do on the whiteboard

Payback, not promises.

This is the shape of every estimate we produce. Baseline first, fully loaded labor cost, a human still in the loop, and the low case shown next to the high one.

Illustrative example. The numbers show the method, not a guarantee. Your assessment uses your counts.

Accounts payable team, three people, about 600 invoices a month
Time keying invoices todayabout 25 hours a week
After extraction with human reviewabout 8 hours a week
Hours reclaimed17 a week, 850 a year
Fully loaded cost per hour$40
Labor value reclaimedabout $34,000 a year
Duplicate payments caught$18,000 last year
Build cost plus first-year run cost$22,000 plus about $3,000
Paybackabout 7 months, about $45,000 net in year one

And the team moves to collections, which is where the CFO wanted them all along.

Custom applications

Software built to fit how your organization actually runs.

Scheduling and coordination tools. Member and customer portals. Communication and notification systems. Internal applications that replace the spreadsheet everyone is afraid to touch. Web applications that work on every phone and desktop, built on AWS, handed over with the source code, the documentation and the infrastructure definitions.

  1. A 30-minute call. You describe the problem. We ask who uses it, what goes wrong, and what already exists.
  2. A short discovery sprint, fixed price. Screens, data model, integrations and a build quote on paper before you commit.
  3. Build in two-week increments. Something working to click on every two weeks, hosted in an account you own.
  4. Handover or retainer. Your choice. Either way the code, the data and the cloud account are yours.
Our own product

CloudStack Canvas

A live, multi-tenant SaaS product with organizations and seats, subscription billing, and an engine that turns architecture diagrams into deployable cloud infrastructure. Designed, deployed and operated on AWS in-house.

It is the clearest proof we can offer that we finish what we start and keep it running afterward.

Typically $5 million to $100 million in revenue, in the Great Lakes Bay region and beyond. We learn your vocabulary before we propose anything.

Manufacturers and distributors

Quote turnaround, engineering change orders, supplier communication, quality documentation, CMMC.

Banks and credit unions

Cost per account, compliance exceptions, document review, member service response time, GLBA.

CPA and law firms

Realization rate, document-heavy intake, research and drafting hours, client confidentiality.

Healthcare administrators

Claims and prior-authorization paperwork, scheduling, PHI that must never reach a model provider.

Municipal and county government

Records requests, permit workflows, constituent communication, procurement rules, records retention.

Associations and member organizations

Scheduling and coordination, member communication, dues and registration, volunteers who need simple tools.

Government contracting

Small business set-asides and prime teaming.

Secure AI implementation, cloud infrastructure and custom application development for federal, state and local agencies, directly or as a subcontractor to primes who need qualified small-business participation.

We decline any opportunity where a team member's other employment would give us non-public information. We would rather lose the bid than the trust.

Tell us what you need.

We reply within one business day with questions or a time to talk. You get a written scope before any number, and no work starts without a signed statement of work.

  • You own everything we deliver: code, data, infrastructure definitions. We keep only our own tooling and know-how.
  • Fixed-price scopes wherever the work can be bounded. Time and materials in 40- or 80-hour blocks where it cannot.
  • Your request is stored in our AWS account and read only by the two of us.
A few sentences is plenty. We will ask the detailed questions on the call.
